Create sites easily while still maintaining governance
What does it do?
The Site Creation Web Part has been designed for both users and administrators.
Users can easily create SharePoint sites through filling out the required data
in the web part. Administrators can configure the web part so new sites are
created from a defined set of rules.
Displayed Web Part to users
Site Administrators can configure the web part:
- Selecting a Site Template to be used for the new site
- Decide if the user that creates the site becomes the site owner
- Provide names for SharePoint groups or inherit parent site permissions
- Copy users from the Parent sites SharePoint Groups to the new sites
SharePoint groups
- Allow users to enter a URL or default the URL name to the Title
- Enter characters that are not allowed in the URL and Title name
End users can easily create sites:
- Limits the complexity of choice's when tasked with creating sites
- Enter a Title for the site
- Enter a Descriptoin for the site
- Enter a URL for the site (if configured)
- Select if the new site will have unique permissions or inherit them from the
Parent site
