What is Microsoft Flow

Microsoft Flow is a part of the the Office 365 suite that enables you to automate actions based on common scenarios, saving time and costs.

It is a workflow engine that allows you to automate business processes by building workflows based on certain triggers and actions.

It works across the entire Office 365 suite and also integrates with many other external applications including SQL, SharePoint, Box, Google, Salesforce and +300 others and counting.

 

Microsoft Flow can provide many business benefits including:

Leave request approvals

Staff submits a request for leave into the leave calendar and their manager automatically receives an approval email. If their manager approves the leave request then the request is updated and another email is sent to Human Resources and the requestor.

You can use this type of workflow for various processes that require approvals - travel requests, documents

Daily Reminders

When tasks are nearing their due date or overdue send email reminders to assigned staff for action. Include links directly to the item in question for action.

Electronic Forms and Signatures

Capture information from electronic forms and add this information to SharePoint list, database or send an email.

Project Management

Automate governance process in creating SharePoint sites.

Mobile Application
